Hope everyone had a great Halloween and ate a lot of candies. I am sure you guys must have a had a busy weekend after the celebrations. Its been the same here.
Yes, its officially the best season of the year, my favorite season for sure. If my trans Atlantic & American friends are busy celebrating with Halloween, I & me friends from India are having our share of festivities with Durga Puja, Karwachauth and the best of all, Diwali (coming shortly..yay). And I finally made my MIL’s Sweet pancakes or malpua as we call it in India. Flavored with cardamom & fennel, stuffed with raisins, doused in a rose & saffron syrup and served with thick clotted cream or rabri, this is a pure gastronomic extravaganza that befits Diwali like a crown!
Now that Halloween is over, we are gearing up for Thanksgiving. And can you believe it will soon be time for Christmas. And New year..!! Dear God.. Just where did time fly!
