Reason: Well, its home grown for us you see! Turmeric is a root and when powdered it transforms into a glorious yellow color. As Indians, we are hard wired to add turmeric to all our curries, dals etc. In fact there are very few curries where we skip the turmeric altogether. But instead of just adding it to a curry, this innocent yellow spice becomes a storehouse of latent power and immunity boosting vitamins when added to milk. Did you know it’s antiseptic properties help boost immunity, ward off the chills, relieve a sore and scratchy throat too?
Having a small cup of this turmeric latte every night before sleep helps one boost immunity and fight colds and other health related problems in the long run. Not only that, did you know you can apply a paste of turmeric on severe burns!?? Imagine how amazing this spice must be!
