Delicious, creamy, soft yet chewy peanut butter cookies adorned with a delicious Hershey's kiss.

Total Time 20 minutes
Servings 25 cookies

  • 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter ,1 stick
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 30 Hershey's kiss candy , your choice of flavor
  • extra sugar for rolling

  1. In a bowl whisk together the dry ingredients; flour, salt and baking soda. Keep aside.

Now using a stand mixer or a hand held mixer fitted with paddle attachment, beat together the softened butter, both the types of sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the peanut butter and continue beating till the mix is of one homogeneous color. Scrape the sides well and combine.

  2. Add egg and vanilla. Beat till creamy. Then add the flour mixture and light mix it till its completely combined.

  3. Scoop 1 tablespoon of the dough and shape into smooth balls. Roll them lightly in sugar and place on a baking tray lined with parchment. Space them at 1 1/2 inch gap.

  4. Bake for 10 mins in a 375 F or 180C preheated oven. Remove from oven and immediately press one Hershey kiss into the centre of each cookie.

If the cookies crack lightly when you press the candy in - dont be scared!! It just means you did it right!!

  5. Place on a wire rack and let cool completely. Store in an air tight container and keep.

Recipe Notes

You can also use regular milk chocolate if you dont have Hershey's kiss at hand. I used Dairy Milk squares and they tasted just as awesome!!

  1. In this recipe, can egg be replaced with something else for I don’t eat egg. Looking forward to make these without eggs. Great recipe for quick bite.
